CI/CD in air-gapped environments
Pipelines in networks without internet access.
Without internet access, there are no public package sources, container registries or cloud services. With an internal artefact repository, mirrored dependencies, self-hosted runners and a controlled import gate for new packages, you can still build pipelines.
We place it in Trial because mirroring, checking and approving new packages means ongoing effort. It pays off when software and configurations change regularly.
A good fit if …
- systems in isolated networks change frequently
- classified-information or security requirements demand complete traceability
- tests are to run in environments without access to classified information
Not a good fit if …
- changes are rare; a documented manual process is then cheaper
- nobody looks after the mirrors and the import gate over the long term
